Ok guys, I am kind of nervous. Not that I don't trust that God has everthing in control or that He knows what's best for me for next year. It's just that I so desperately desire to be in London next year for so many reasons, which I will go into later, and I sent off my application to the one teaching agency that responded to my initial inquiries. Now, it's the waiting game. They should have received my application by now and I am antsy to hear from them about it. I would say that I just want to hear from them either way, but I really want it to be positive. It would be nice to know that they've received it though. What if I sent it to the wrong address? I don't want to seem really nosy, needy, or pushy either by sending an email asking about whether or not they got it. And, if they haven't, I will not be happy with the US postal service. I was only sending it to Canada!
Anyway, I guess I would just really appreciate your prayers about this. If only to give me a peace of mind. But, if you feel daring...to get hired with the agency and then to get a job in London for next year. Thank you all so much for your support. I couldn't do it all without knowing that you are behind me with every bump and pothole in the road. I appreciate you all!!!
-Aubrey
P.S. I am also applying to different posts at diffferent schools on my own, as a kind of back up. So, if either of these two options pan out, that's ok with me. I just want to be teaching in London in September;)

More Pictures of my Beloved Eugene
I decided to take a day downtown and to try to capture some of the places I have spent my childhood and college years in picture. Here are some of the things I got. I hope you enjoy them.

Where I spent a sixth of my life (at this point). There are a ton of pictures I could post just from here.

The Old First Baptist Church of Eugene in Downtown.

One of the many adorable ducks that can be seen around town. This one is in the entry area of the Eugene Hotel, which is now an senior citizen living center, not a hotel.

Salmon swimming upstream in the fountain in downtown Eugene in the middle of the Saturday Market area.

One of the manyy Eugene sunsets that brings joy to my heart! Pictures never do them justice.

This is the mural that is on the side of the Actors Cabaret of Eugene that I admired when I was a kid and it hasn't changed a bit.

Ken Kesey Statue in Downtown Eugene. I've always liked this statue. It seems so cozy. I just want to curl up with the other kids and relax and listen to a story.

Camp Harlow Here I Come
The rumor is that I will be out at Camp Harlow this summer as Elements person. This is the job that entails the low ropes course, zipline, big swing, and rockwall. I don't know too much about what that will look like yet, but I am supposed to be meeting with Dave more to discuss it.
It's been two years since I've been at harlow, so it will be interesting to meet all these people who are like, "who are you? Are you new?" and I will have to sound old and say, "I'm Gabe and I have worked out here for four years, who are you newbie?" But, it's time for the old school to come back!
I'l write more later about what I am excited for this year and all that jazz. Things may change depending on what my job situation looks like for the fall.

Random Anecdotes
So, the other day I was riding my bike to one of my jobs and was intrigued to see that the rich peoples' ponds had a layer of ice on the top of them because it was only about 22 degrees outside. The interesting part was the fact that a nutrea, which one rarely sees during the day, was trying to swim across the frozen part of the pond instead of crossing where the ducks were, which is where the fountain was running and had no ice). This is another example of why nutrea are stupid.
I have one more story about stupid nutrea. It starts with me riding my bike to Mid-School group on a wednesday night, so it was dark. I saw four nutrea hangin out just off to my right in the grass and thought, "oh, they're far enough away that I can go by slowly and they'll just hang out." Of course it can't be that simple...As I ride by the nutrea, all four of them start to run acros my path to the left of me. Thankfully only two were stupid enough to try to run in front of me and I actually almost ran over them. How can a person on a bike almost run over a live animal? I know I can't actually go that fast on my bike!
I was thinking the other night as I went for a run as I was watching the sun set and the gorgeous sky as a result that sunsets and sunrises are like Gods way of saying goodmorning and goodnight to us each day. His special little treat that just between Him and us. What a cool gift and how special of God to make a new and unique sunrise and sunset every day for us.
I saw a guy on the bus the other week that was reading his bible and as he and another guy got off the bus the other guy asked him what book he was in and I just thought that was so cool. I can't quite explain why, but I just did.
I was walking to church this last sunday along coburg and there were a million cars passing me in both directions and I knew that 99% of them were going to or coming from First B. And it was hilarious how some of the people would stare at me as they went by. I know it's because in that part of town it's very odd to see people walking and I don't look like a hobo (at least not that i am aware of), so, it seems that people are taken aback. A couple people at church told me they saw me and one said she was trying to figure out how to turn around and come pick me up and I was flattered.
For those of you that might see me someday riding my bike or walking. I like it, for the most part, so don't feel obligated to help me out. Although, if I look extremely tired, hurt, or it's incredibly cold, dark or pouring buckets of rain out; I wouldn't mind if you stopp and ask if I need any help. But, otherwise, I like walking and riding my bike and am very thankful that I am able to do so and appreciate the exercise it gives me.
